Bainbridge Park Enhancement Project
Phase II - Full Park Enhancement Project
The Bainbridge Park Enhancement Project includes various new amenities as well as rehabilitation of existing features using the $2M State Park Program funding the City was awarded in 2023. In accordance with the grant scope, design amenities of the Park Enhancement Project include:
- The construction of a new multi-use pavilion
- Construction of two 50' x 80' fenced, artificial surface soccer pitch with lights
- New public art and landscaping throughout park
- Master lighting control system and new lights
- Poured ADA surfacing for the 11,000sf playground area
- Camera System for park
- Minor cosmetic and maintenance upgrades to existing bathroom facilities
- Incorporation of existing drainage into the park layout
At its regular meeting on September 11th, 2023 Fort Bragg City Council awarded the contract for design services to Melton Design Group.
On January 10, 2024, the City and Melton Design Group hosted a public meeting seeking input for the project design.

Phase I
Playground Construction
The Wiggly Giggly Playground Equipment has been purchased and a contract awarded to Akeff Construction. The Playground area of the park is currently under construction. Sign up for progress updates on the City’s enotification page: http://www.city.fortbragg.com/about-us/enotification
20 Year Old Playground Being Replaced - Sneak Peak at the New Look Below
The current Equipment at Wiggly Giggly was installed in April 2004. The playground is almost 20 years old and it's replacement has arrived on the coast. We are so Excited to have the new playground built and in service for the children of our coastal community. Notifications, Press Releases, and Social Media posts will be created and distributed to keep you up-to-date on the progress.
Bainbridge Park Master Plan [2016]
The Bainbridge Park Master Plan was completed by City staff in 2016. The plan incorporated several iterations of public engagement and input prior to final acceptance by City Council. The full text of the plan is located here: Bainbridge Park Master Plan.
