The City has been actively involved in the Mill Site remediation process since 2004. Our technical experts have peer reviewed each report prepared by Georgia-Pacific's consultant team and provided feedback to the State Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and Georgia-Pacific on behalf of the City. The City is keenly interested in ensuring that the Mill Site is cleaned up to make it safe for future users (both human and ecological). The City will remain actively engaged in the environmental remediation process, as it is a critical step in preparing the Mill Site for future redevelopment.
