Noyo Center Vision
The Noyo Center for Marine Science will provide exciting opportunities for marine research, education, and conservation on the Fort Bragg headlands. The bluff top site has been acquired and initial designs for the eco-friendly campus have received enthusiastic community support. The Noyo Center embraces the ethic of sustainability in its design, operation, and scientific and educational programs. The Noyo Center:
Places the Mendocino Coast at the forefront of marine research and education.
Engages citizens and children in scientific exploration of the natural world.
Encourages collaboration among scientists, public agencies, and private business to manage natural resources.
Restores and conserves coastal and marine ecosystems.
Diversifies economic development for Fort Bragg and Mendocino County.
Promotes investigation of climate variability and education about improved resiliency.
